Full bio
My goal is to nurture and empower designers, to educate businesses on the value of design, and to provide the tools to integrate design at the core of business innovation, process, and decision-making. As an educator, speaker, and designer, I have brought product strategy, service design, and business guidance to companies ranging from Fortune 500s to startups in a range of categories, from healthcare systems and medical devices to retail environments, consumer electronics, financial services, enterprise management, and more. Prior to joining Cooper, I worked for Adaptive Path where I was a lead designer, advocate, and creative strategist. Before joining Adaptive Path, I was a Director at Lextant, an innovation consultancy. Past clients come from a broad range of industries and include: Avid, California Healthcare Foundation, Cardinal Health, CA Technologies, CEB (Corporate Executive Board), CheckFree (now Fiserv), Citi, Clorox, Cordis Cardiology (Johnson & Johnson), Dell, Diebold, DirecTV, Disney, GE Healthcare, GE Energy, FHLB, Globo, Google, Hewlett-Packard, Hollister, Hunter Fan, Intel, Innova, Kohl's, Kiva, Location Labs, Marketplace Money, Microsoft, Moen, Mozilla, Nationwide Insurance & Financial, Nokia Networks, Palantir, Rail Europe, Rock Health, Superfish, Uber, Universal Weather and Aviation, Victoria’s Secret, Visa, and Wikipedia. I'm very active in the design community. I served on the Board of Directors of the Interaction Design Association (IxDA). I enjoy speaking at industry events including: A Better World by Design, Cooper U Fluxible, EnterpriseUX, Interaction, SxSW, TEDx, and more. I started dancing at age five, and continue to use my knowledge of movement and choreography to push the discipline of design.
