Julia Moore

Julia Moore is the Portfolio Director of Breakout Labs, a seed-stage fund operating out of Peter Thiel’s foundation that supports radical science companies.  At Breakout Labs, she leads the organization’s effort to accelerate the growth of portfolio companies, leveraging the organization’s relationships with strategic partners, investors and resource providers.  Julia has investment and portfolio management experience as a life sciences investor with Kearny Venture Partners and public markets experience as a healthcare research analyst at Thomas Weisel Partners.  Her operational experience includes her role as the Director of Business Development and Strategy at TriVascular, where she led venture fundraising efforts, relationships with strategic partners and strategy for the commercial launch.  She also has a strong background at the intersection of for-profit and non-profit investment as a founding member of a $200M institute at Stanford.  Julia graduated from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce.  She is also a Kauffman Fellow.
