Something More in Austin first opened for business in 2009. Julia McCurley had by then retired from IT and lived in Austin for more than ten years. She is a certified matchmaker who lives her life as transparently as possible. She is a 1987 graduate of the University of Puget Sound and married to the love of her life. It's the second marriage for both, and she says that she is living happily in a real-life "Yours, Mind and Ours" situation.
Julia McCurley describes herself as a "recovered single workaholic" who still dreamed of finding true love. She says that operating Something More in Austin is her dream job, and that there is nothing else she would rather be doing.
