Jose Manuel ("J.M.”) de Jesus is a serial entrepreneur and advisor to them.
He is a journalist and publicist by profession. He speaks Spanish in addition to English, and a modest amount of Portuguese. He is an entrepreneur who runs a company named Quadrant Two PR, since 1994.
JM currently runs Q2PR, and is a NY State Certified Business Advisor at the Brooklyn, NY Small Business Development Center. The SBA recently named the center the #1 SBDC for 2012 in the NYC area and the entire Region II, which includes all of New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.
JM is also a founding partner of two new ventures including Aqueous Beverages and the SocialSinglesNetwork.com.
One of his latest innovations is a series of events which he named EVECAIN. It's an acronym for the Elite Venture Entrepreneur, Capital and Angel Investor Network, which will he intends to spin-off into an internet video streamed and cable TV network with 2-6 hours of daily programming for entrepreneurs and investors, and is currently seeking strategic finance, production, distribution, and sponsorship partners.
EVECAIN features quarterly event for entrepreneurs and investors, and a subsequent quarterly private, by-invitation only pitch event with investors. Future plans include a yacht cruise around Manhattan and golf invitational tournament for entrepreneurs and VC and Angel investors.
JM is married for the past eight years to his wife Lisa. They live in NJ. He is also an avid dancer and practitioner of the martial arts, having practiced Aikido for over tweny years at the Bond Street Dojo in NYC. JM also studied other forms of martial arts since the age of 8. He is currently 52 and considers himself a "Digital Geezer" as an answer to the "Digital Native."
