Most frustrating: never having enough hours in the day

What are the top three lessons you've learned as an entrepreneur?

1. Surround yourself with the best, brightest and most talented people
2. Listen to what your users want, then deliver early and often
3. Aim high - anything is possible!

When do you do your best work?

My co-founder and I are night owls, so we typically start at 10am and work through the night. Although I average about 5 hours sleep (and even less during release weeks), I always wake up feeling excited to get back to my laptop and Tripping.

What do you do in your free time?

Free time? What's that?

Just kidding. I try to keep my life balanced by spending time with friends and family, going to places with beautiful natural scenery and traveling for fun whenever possible.

Jen O'Neal is the founder and CEO of Tripping.com, the world’s leading search engine for vacation rentals. Under her leadership, Tripping.com has grown in value to over $115 Million and currently offers over 8 million rental properties in 150,000 destinations worldwide. Jen led the company's Series B financing earlier this year and she's raised over $21 Million since the company was founded in 2010.

Jen started her career as the 5th employee at StubHub (a marketplace sold to eBay for $310M in 2007), where she developed its marketing division before joining venture-backed startups in Europe and Central America. She's been an early employee at two billion-dollar marketplace companies, she's worked with the world's top brands, and she's passionate about bringing transparency and convenience to the vacation rentals market. Jen lives in San Francisco and graduated Cum Laude from UC Berkeley.
