Plahte's Telecom over IP business unit at Telenor delivered several world first launches, including the first commercial network on the H.323 standard and a PSTN number plan for calls to / from PC softphones.
Personal recognitions and awards include Smartphone biz-news person of the year 2009, being shortlisted for World Communications Awards (WCA) 2007 most influential person in telecoms, and being awarded by the Norwegian Computing Society in 1998 for having brought Norway to the forefront of the IP telephony market.
