I code, collaborate, and only work on things I care about deeply. I have a passion for persistence and know I can only achieve that with others help. Quote_down

What's most frustrating and rewarding about entrepreneurship/innovation?

For me, the most frustrating part of entrepreneur is realizing that I can't do it all myself. In reality, it's a blessing and a curse because I've been able to build up this incredible team around me who is extremely talented and has helped our team to where it is today. With this though, there are certainly times when I wish I could do more. I guess that's the little perfectionist in me.

The most rewarding aspect of entrepreneurship is seeing that the things you build are truly make a difference in peoples' lives. I believe whole-heartedly that if you don't care about what you're doing then you'll eventually fail or not be happy because of a lack of passion and persistence. It's seeing that first user smile and realize "hey this is great" after your long hours and sleepless nights that is most rewarding to me.

What's the No. 1 mistake entrepreneurs/innovators make?

Focusing on the wrong things. (i.e. money, ego and press over users, product development and growth)

What are the top three lessons you've learned as an entrepreneur?

1. Persistency is key
2. You won't succeed without an incredible team
3. Talk with users because data is great but can't always tell the whole story

Full bio

I started programming in highschool and haven't stopped sense. With three companies under my belt I've gained experience that will help guide me and my team to success with Buckets. Experience. Hard work. Persistance. Luck (you make your own).

I'm currently the CEO and lead developer of Buckets - The College Marketplace. Our goal is to make buying and selling on campus easier for students. This means streamlining the way it's currently done (mostly through Facebook or Craigslist). I write the code, head the team meetings, keep our team focused on the ultimate goal through our vision, values and core ideals. Oh, and I'm excited for the future.
