The most frustrating ting is when things are going slower than we would like... Although recently that hasn't been an issue as we just closed our best quarter yet and the summer is looking really great!
They don't listen to their first customers and users. These evangelists are the most important customers you will ever have, as they are usually willing to give you extensive feedback so that you can improve your product and business model.
- Focus, focus, focus! it is so tempting to expand quickly and try a million channels, but you need to focus on a few things and do those really well.
- Track your KPI's diligently (each month, review your growth and analyze what happened)
- Hire people who re smarter than you are, and/or with skills you don't have
Delphine is a passionate entrepreneur and marketing professional.
Before joining Sailo, she worked for over 5 years at Nestle, in their Global Headquarters in Switzerland and in Benelux, where she held various roles in business development, sales strategy, and marketing. Throughout her time there she developed strong market analysis skills, an ability to scope out opportunities for growth, assess business needs, motivate people, launch successful marketing campaigns and bring products to market.
Throughout business school she focused on technology and entrepreneurship and worked in marketing for Gogobot (Silicon Valley travel planning startup) as well as in venture capital at Starvest Partners. She was also the president of the Columbia Entrepreneurs Organization.
Delphine holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BS in International Hospitality Management from the École Hôtelière de Lausanne (Switzerland).
