It's a rollercoaster of emotions, and you better have some thick skin, and buckle in for the ride! It's worth it in the end.

Not researching the industry, competition, and comparables. Not setting up vesting with co-founders.

What are the top three lessons you've learned as an entrepreneur?

Get comfortable being uncomfortable. Don't take no for an answer. Have fun.

Cody is also the former CEO of Associated Students, a $26M non-profit in San Diego. Cody also serves on the San Diego State University Alumni Board of Advisors.
