Bob is the president and founder of Software Analysis and Forensic Engineering Corporation, the leading provider of software intellectual property analysis tools. Bob is considered a pioneer in the field of analyzing software source code, having created the CodeSuite® program for detecting software intellectual property theft that is sold by SAFE Corp, which has been profitable since its founding in 2007.
Bob Zeidman is also the president and founder of Zeidman Consulting, a premiere contract research and development firm in Silicon Valley that now focuses on engineering consulting about intellectual property disputes. Since 1983, Bob has designed computer chips and circuit boards for RISC-based parallel processor systems, laser printers, network switches and routers, and other complex systems. His clients have included Apple Computer, Cisco Systems, Cadence Design Systems, Facebook, Intel, Symantec, Texas Instruments, and Zynga. Bob has worked on and testified in cases involving billions of dollars in disputed intellectual property.
Bob is a prolific writer and instructor, giving seminars at conferences around the world. Among his publications are numerous articles on engineering and business as well as four textbooks, Designing with FPGAs and CPLDs, Verilog Designer's Library, and Introduction to Verilog as well as the upcoming The Software IP Detective's Handbook. Bob holds numerous patents and earned two bachelor's degrees, in physics and electrical engineering, from Cornell University and a master's degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University.
Bob is also active in a number of nonprofits. He enjoys writing novels and screenplays and has won a number of awards for this work too.
