Barry Inouye is the President and CEO of Get2Hawaii, a leading developer of online travel reservation systems and booking engine solutions. Mr.Inouye has over 30 years of executive-level expertise in the Internet, software, telecom and high tech fields as well as has extensive operational and business experience throughout the world. His career has included assignments in Latin America, Asia, as well as in numerous locations throughout the United States.

Mr. Inouye was previously CEO of Inovaware Corporation in Hawaii, Executive Vice President of Operations for Dare Technologies Global (Bay Area and San Diego), Vice President – Broadband Operations for Centennial Communications (Caribbean Region), Vice President – International Business Development for Pacific Gateway Exchange (Bay Area) and Director of Broadband Marketing for Cox Communications (Kansas). He was also an executive consultant to various Bay Area start-ups developing Unified Messaging, web collaboration and VOIP technologies.

Mr. Inouye began his career with GTE (now Verizon) and served in various marketing and international business development capacities in its Hawaii operations before he was promoted to executive assignments in the Dominican Republic and Florida. In the Dominican Republic, he served as Director of Product Management and had life-cycle accountability for the company’s entire range of telecom products and services. Mr. Inouye also served as GTE’s Regional Director – International with responsibilities for managing business relations with its partners in Canada, Latin America and Europe.

Mr. Inouye has led a number of successful new start-up businesses. He had developed a new overseas outsourcing subsidiary for Inovaware in the Dominican Republic. In Florida, he served as General Manager and Director of International Programs and was credited with launching GTE’s first and highly successful call center and IT outsourcing operations, which was based in the Dominican Republic and grew to become one of the largest outsourcing operations in the region. He has also launched new overseas subsidiaries for Pacific Gateway Exchange in Japan as well as in Hong Kong.

Mr. Inouye attended the University of Hawaii where he graduated Phi Kappa Phi and with honors. Mr. Inouye holds graduate degrees in Communications and Urban Planning, also from the University of Hawaii.
