For more than a two decades, Andreas has successfully served bulge bracket investment banks, venture capital firms and distinguished corporations throughout the world. In addition to his extensive valuation and financial modeling expertise, he is known for his ability to lead companies through periods of major change and growth, specializing in areas of business development, corporate finance systems, planning, as well as performance measurement. As a results oriented individual, Andreas has developed a reputation for effectively tackling a multitude of transactions ranging from M&A advisory and venture capital to private equity and structured finance including debt and equity financing. With a keen ability for leveraging personal contacts, his industry exposure has supported various industries and organizations, which include high tech, software, communications, energy and Cleantech, agriculture, chemicals, automotive, capital goods, banking, and service organizations.
Andreas serves as Managing Director for CENAK Consulting, L.P. where he consults with Venture Capitalists, Private Equity Groups, Investment Bankers as well as C-level executives. Presently he serves as financial consultant and CFO to several high growth early-stage technology companies. His focus is on managing financial tasks, which include equity and debt funding, tax planning and structuring as well as project valuation analysis and management of outside financial advisors such as banks and financial institutions.
Andreas served as Investment Manager for Enron Corporation's venture capital group, analyzing second-round to pre-IPO equity investment opportunities. The group generated triple-digit returns, and over US$300m in cash were returned to the company through various successful IPOs and trade sales. In addition to identifying new investment opportunities, he conducted due diligence and valuation, and led the internal approval and legal documentation processes. Additionally he acted as business developer for investment opportunities in Europe and also served as a board observer and member of the audit committee of a portfolio company.
Earlier in his career, he served as investment banker at Credit Suisse First Boston (now Credit Suisse) and Union Bank of Switzerland (now UBS) working on numerous transactions in various industries. In his role as investment banker, he focused on extensive valuation and transaction activities using Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), comparable quoted company acquisition analysis as well as merger consequence models. He also prepared C-level management presentations, focusing on discussions related to industry and market trends, valuation results, and strategic options.
Andreas holds a Master of Business Administration in International Management from Thunderbird Graduate School of Management in Glendale, Arizona, and a Master of Electrical Engineering from the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Hamburg, Germany. Preceding his financial career, Mr. Kraemer was a First Lieutenant in the German Air Force where he worked as Air Defense Controller.
