How and What Can I Post?
You can publish text or videos. We prefer that you upload videos onto Vator to use our player. But if you really want to embed a video from outside Vator, you can do so as well. You can also upload images and screen shots. Please attribute where those images/screen shots came from.
Keep in mind, Vator editors (Bambi Francisco) only feature posts with videos or images. The subject matter should be news or information/research related to innovation, Web/high-tech industry and investment trends, or how-to information that helps entrepreneurs build their businesses.
To create a story, make sure you are on the "Contributor Channel" page or on your channel page. Hit "Create a post"
To save as draft, just hit "Save as draft". To publish hit "Save as draft", and you will see a big "publish" button on top of your post.
If you saved as draft and want to find your old stories, you can find them on "See unpublished drafts".
VatorNews has four categories:
- Trends and news
- Interviews (with entrepreneurs/investors)
- Lessons and advice (from entrepreneurs/from investors)
- Innovation shows and series.
Editing policy: Vator editors will only edit your story if it is featured to comply with our editing policies. Once a story is featured, a contributor will not be able to edit his/her piece or change a video. Any posts that are not featured can be edited and videos can be replaced. Posts cannot be deleted once published. Videos, once published, can be exchanged with another video.
If you have any other questions, feel free to email newsroom@vator.tv. We want to make sure this is an easy process. And, we're sure we probably missed a few points.
