Now the telehealth market size in the region, which was valued at $2.6 billion in 2021, is projected to develop at a compound annual growth rate of 26.3% from 2022 to 2030.
One of telehealth provider in the region is Dubai-based TruDoc Healthcare, which offers 24x7 access to doctor consultations; on Monday, the company announced a partnership with digital solutions provider e& enterprise, together introducing the new engageX solution to improve patient care and accessibility.
Founded in 2011, TruDoc offers an integrated mobile app that offers instant access to care, as well a virtual clinic that offers access to doctors through voice/video calls and live chat during working hours.
In addition, TruDoc’s Hospitalist/Roaming Doctor program offers care in the hospital between the patient, family, and the treating physician, while its Hospital at Home Program offers 24x7 telemonitoring for acute and chronic care of patients in the comfort of their homes.
The company says it's equipped to provide 24x7 access to 80% of the population who consume 20% of medical services, though it "remains focused on bridging the gap in quality and access to care, specifically targeting high-risk chronic patients who constitute 20% of the population but account for a substantial 80% of medical services consumption."
Meanwhile, e& enterprise, which operates in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt, combines professional digital services expertise with the capabilities of a technology group using cloud, cybersecurity, IoT, and AI to provide consulting, business modeling, solution design, and support.
Powered by the NICE CXone platform, the engageX solution will allow for better management of patient inquiries across multiple communication channels, including voice, chat, email, and video, all through a single interface, so that they can receive comprehensive responses.
"We believe in technology's power in redefining the boundaries of healthcare," Miguel Angel Villalonga, COO of e& enterprise, said in a statement.
"Our partnership with TruDoc Healthcare goes beyond integrating the advanced technologies, it's a testament to our shared vision to revolutionize patient care. Through the engageX solution, we are committed to transforming patient experiences into journeys characterized by excellence, accessibility, and innovation. This initiative represents a strategic step in our ongoing quest to harness cutting-edge technologies to make a profound and positive impact on human health worldwide."
