Pinterest, Taboola, Euclid, Nexmo were among those that raised funds

Seed-stage

PayrollHero, a software company focused on time, attendance, scheduling and payroll, closed a $1 million seed round of funding from 500Startups, Benjamin Joffe, Christian Cotichini and other angel investors.

Wedding photo album app Wedding Party has secured $1 million in seed funding, led by New Enterprise Associates and Felicis Ventures, with participation from several angels.


Peer-to-peer mobile marketplace ShopSpot raised $630,000 in seed funding from Jungle Ventures and SingTel Innov8.

 

Social networking platform Celly announced $1.4 million in seed funding led by Oregon Angel Fund (OAF) with participation from Upstart Labs, Portland Seed Fund, and individual investors.

Mini vending machine maker TaxiTreats has raised $1 million in seed funding from prominent venture capitalists such as David Tisch and The Richport Group, which is chaired by singer Marc Anthony.


Online fashion retailer Inverted Edge raised $1.6 million through initial investments from the Singapore National Research Foundation (NRF), Incuvest Pte, Accel-X Pte and four other undisclosed private investors.

Alumni network-managing startup Graduway has closed a $1.1 million seed round from investors including  BTG Pactual , RSL Venture Partners and former  888 Holdings PLC Chief Executive Gigi Levy.

Fashion blog Business of Fashion announced that it produced a seed investment of $2.1 million from Index Ventures, LVMH, Samos Investments, Cabus Ventures, Advancit Capital and Novel TMT Ventures.

Game Analytics raised $2.5 million in seed funding from Sunstone Capital, CrunchFund, and angel investors like HuffPo CEO Jimmy Maymann, former Podio CEO Tommy Ahlers, René Rechmann, and Anil Hansjee.

Ed tech startip BrightBytes raised a $750K seed round led by Learn Capital. NewSchools Venture Fund and an unnamed investor also participated in the round.

Early-stage

UK-based peer-to-peer betting exchange Smarkets raised $2.3 million in Series A financing from T-Venture, a division of Deutsche Telekom, and existing investor Passion Capital.

Mobile messaging company Nexmo closed a $3 million round of funding led by Intel Capital, and including NHN Investment Corporation and Initial Capital.

Online food subscription delivery service Blue Apron raised $3 million in its Series A round of funding from First Round Capital, Bessemer Venture Partners, and David Tisch from the Box Group.

 

Late-stage

Video, article and image recommendation service Taboola raised$15 Million Series D round of funding, led by Pitango VC, with participation from existing investors Evergreen Venture Partners, WGI Group and Marker.

Retail analytics service Euclid raised  $17.3M million in Series B financing. The round was led by Benchmark Capital with participation from NEA, Harrison Metal, and Novel TMT Ventures.

Pinterest confirmed that it has raised $200 million in a round of funding that was led by Valiant Capital Management, with participation from existing investors Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, and FirstMark Capital.

Game analytics company Playnomics announced a $5 million Series B funding round, led by Vanedge Capital and existing investors FirstMark Capital and XSeed Capital.

Artspace, an ecommerce platform for high-end art, raised $8.5 million in Series B funding from Canaan Partners.

Open source distributed search engine Elasticsearch closed a $24 million Series B round of funding from Index Ventures, Benchmark Capital and SV Angel. 

360buy, a Chinese business-to-consumer e-commerce operator, raised $700 million from Ontario Teachers’ Retirement Fund and Kingdom Holdings Company.
