Tips for entrepreneurs

Dave Kresse, CEO of Mu Dynamics, a leader in testing and validating application-aware networks, believes that part of the actual allure of working at a small company is the roller coaster ride of emotion that they take you on. No stranger to the world of startups, Dave has worked at companies that include NetApp, Leapfrog Enterprises, and PowerSchool, Inc. In this episode of HP Startup Central’s Tips for Entrepreneurs titled, “You Never Have a Dull Day,” Dave offers his take on working in small companies and on industry opportunities.

The small business environment is fast-paced and unpredictable, but hugely rewarding for Dave Kresse. “The issues fly at you left and right, but at the end of the day you’re building something. And when you see it succeeding, there’s no better feeling in the world professionally then the feeling that hey, we have a vision, we have a mission, and we’re making it happen.” Dave believes that innovations in areas like cloud, mobile and analytics are still in early stages for entrepreneurs. He says it’s “as easy a time as ever” to overcome noise in the industry and make a name for yourself, given the advantage today’s infrastructure offers.

HP Startup Central is a collaborative business ecosystem for entrepreneurs and early stage companies. HP is building new relationships with talented innovators and connecting them with the tools, technology, and investment community that power their commercial success.
