Is it a rich person's world?

Hi

This is Sutapa with my very first post, well atleast here on Vator.tv.

A short intro - At present based out of Virginia, USA - originally born in India - started acting and doing one act stage plays when I was around 7 yrs old:) moved on to producing, directing, radio - on air for several years and now the visual media - hmm that is short - want to know more, contact me.

So coming to this country as a newlywed oh so many years ago, settling down, having kids raising them brought a very important point to the fore.

The lack of programming content that speaks to us as an audience. The right balance.  Also had several questions and on further conversations with like minded people realised a need for content for us.

I started talking to people, professionals and the first question was - Do you have any formal experience? Did you produce anything?  And my answer was a resounding No but....

Talk about a vicious circle - to produce you need money - to get money - well u should have produced something:(

Undaunted I thought to myself, there has to be a way. Did research and found the power of the internet.  Really if there is will there is a link:)

Created my own website www.creatvproductions.com, created my channel on YouTube - www.youtube.com/creatvproductions where I m the host/cameraperson/writer/editor  and also do podcasts and write blogs on www.sukas-myworld.blogspot.com at very nominal cost.

The point of this, other than shameless plugins - is this...It is very easy to throw up your hands in despair and say I give up:) But if you truly and passionately believe in what you are doing you will find a way.

Money is needed absolutely - hey I need it too! But there are a lot of tools out there that can help you start the process.

Cheers.
