Created almost a year ago, in March 2009, the Founder Institute program carries out evening sessions in which experienced CEOs and founders of technology companies (everything from biotech to Internet niches) give general advice, offer specific guidance, and share experiences with entrepreneurs seeking success for their own companies. On top of the valuable knowledge gained, early-stage startups stand the chance of nabbing some fundraising opportunities.

The Founder Institute is the first incubator program to expand internationally, according to Adeo Ressi, founder of the Founder Institute. With sessions taking place in nine cities, Ressi estimates that the program will see 700 founders and 500 companies before the year's end.

The following mentors are confirmed for the upcoming spring session: Nolan Bushnell (Founder of Atari), Michael Robertson (Former CEO of MP3.com), Aaron Patzer (Founder and CEO of Mint.com), and Phil Libin (CEO of Evernote).
