The company partnered with independent physician network Community Medical Group

Privia Health has been expanding pretty rapidly lately: in September it partnered with OhioHealth, a nationally recognized not-for-profit health system to launch a medical group for independent providers throughout the state, and then last month the company launched two new Accountable Care Organizations, including providers in Delaware and North Carolina, bringing its total states served to 11, including California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Montana, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia, as well as the District of Columbia.

Now Privia is making the move into yet another state, bringing its total to 12: on Friday, the company announced a new partnership with Community Medical Group (CMG) to launch Privia Quality Network of Connecticut (PQN CT).

The company says this will be the largest Clinically Integrated Network (CIN) in Connecticut, with approximately 1,100 multi-specialty providers, including more than 430 primary care providers, caring for patients in over 450 practice locations.

Privia's platform empowers physicians by giving them access to tools, technology, and talent, organizing physicians and clinicians into a practice model that combines the advantages of a partnership in a large regional medical group with local autonomy for the physicians and clinicians.

Its services include tools designed to enhance physician input and provider workflows, including one for patients to find a provider online and receive appointment reminders; insights embeded into its EHR so providers can assess patients’ health and practice performance; Risk Adjustment Factor and care-gap reminders; and a patient education tool.

It also provides a Single-TIN Medical Group in each of its markets that facilitates payer negotiation, clinical integration and alignment of financial incentives, as well as a Management Services Organization, which helps reduce administrative work, increase efficiency, and lower direct costs for providers through revenue cycle management, performance management, analytics and reporting, clinical IT, IT support, and marketing.

All current and future CMG providers will access all fee-for-service and value-based care payer contracts through PQN CT, and have the option to implement and leverage Privia’s technology and services platform.

"Our focus in all of our partnerships is to lower providers' administrative burden while improving patient outcomes, lowering costs and enhancing the patient experience," said Borchert, and PQN CT is "another significant step in our goal to build a national primary care-centric care network."

"Patients can expect the same exceptional care from their existing Community Medical Group providers. For providers, this new partnership enables all current and future CMG providers to access all fee-for-service and value-based care payer contracts through PQN CT, with the option to implement and leverage Privia’s technology and services platform," he explained.

"With these options, we aim to lift the administrative burden they face on a day-to-day basis, freeing up more time for patients and the practice of medicine."
