Sofia, Metagenomi, Strava, Elevation Oncology among the companies landing fresh capital

Adaptilens: Adaptilens is a Boston-based maker of an injectable lens for improving vision. Adaptilens has raised $1.6 million in seed funding led by Pillar VC. Read more 

Sofia: Sofia is a Mexico-based health-tech startup focusing on telehealth services. Sofia has raised $19 million in Series A funding led by Index Ventures. Read more

Levels: Levels is a Philadelphia, Pa.-based make of a biowearable metabolic sensor that monitors users' glucose levels. Levels has raised $12 million in seed funding. Andreessen Horowitz led the round, joined by some notable individual investors, including Netflix cofounder Marc Randolph, former Twitter CEO Dick Costolo, TechCrunch founder Michael Arrington and NBA player Matt Dellavedova. Kira Pharma: Kira Pharma is a Cambridge, Ma.-based developer of therapies for immune-mediated diseases. Kira Pharma has raised $46 million in Series A and B funding from Quan Capital, 6 Dimensions Capital, Qiming Venture Partners and Sinopharm Capital. Read more 

Metagenomi: Metagenomi is an Emeryville, Ca.-based gene-editing company. Metagenomi raised $65 million in Series A funding. Bayer and Humboldt Fund co-led the round, joined by Sozo Ventures, Agent Capital, InCube Ventures and HOF Capital. Read more

Elevation Oncology: Elevation Oncology is a  New York-based biopharmaceutical company focused on cancers. Elevation Oncology has raised $65 million in Series B funding co-led by venBio Partners and Cormorant Asset Management. Read more

Strava: Strava is a San Francisco-based activity and fitness tracking platform. Strava has raised $110 million in Series F funding led by TCV and earlier backer Sequoia Capital, and including participation by Dragoneer Investment Group, and other earlier investors, including Madrone Capital Partners,  Jackson Square Ventures and Go4it Capital.
