Strand Therapeutics raised $6M; Liveoak secured $8M; FormAssembly landed $10M; TrueLayer closed $35M

Strand Therapeutics: Strand was started by biological engineers working together at MIT. Building on the idea of creating smart therapies that are capable of making sophisticated decisions, they sought to apply the concept of the emerging field of mRNA therapeutics. Strand  has raised $6 million in seed funding led byPlayground Global. Read more

Liveoak Technologies: Liveoak is a virtual customer engagement platform that enables you to connect, engage and complete work with customers in a seamless way. Liveoak has raised $8 million in funding. S3 Ventures led the round, joined by Seven Peaks Ventures, Wild Basin Investments, State Farm Ventures, Northwestern Mutual Future Ventures and Broadhaven Capital Partners. Read more  

Tala Security: Tala’s AI-driven, agent-less solution protects users against XSS, cryptojacking, click-jacking and various other attacks. Tala has raised $9 million in Series funding led by TechOperators. Other participants in the deal include Jackson Square Ventures and numerous individual investors. Read more

FormAssembly: FormAssembly is a web-based surveying platform that helps businesses create web forms and collect data. FormAssembly has raised $10 million in Series A funding from Level Equity. Read more

Getsafe: Getsafe is a mobile first insurance company for the digital age. Getsafe has raised €15 million in Series A funding led by Earlybird Ventures, with participation from CommerzVentures. Read more  

GuardKnox: GuardKnox is a provider of comprehensive hardware and software cyber-secure high-performance platform for the automotive industry. GuardKnox has raised $21 million in Series A funding led by Fraser McCombs Capital, with participation from Faurecia, SAIC Capital, Glory Ventures, NextLeap Ventures,VectoIQ, Plug and Play, Allied, Cyphertech, and Kardan. Carbon Lighthouse: Carbon Lighthouse is on a mission to stop climate change by making it easy and profitable for building owners to eliminate carbon emissions caused by wasted energy.  Carbon Lighthouse has raised $32.6 million led by Cox Enterprises. Read more

TrueLayer: TrueLayer provides a platform to build financial apps that connect to bank data, verify accounts, and access transactions in real time. TrueLayer has raised $35 million from Tencent Holdings and Temasek. Read more

AllyO: AllyO is an A.I. recruiter that makes recruiting delightful and efficient for everyone. AllyO is  has raised $45 million in Series B funding. Investors include Sapphire Ventures, Scale Venture Partners and earlier backers Gradient Ventures, Randstad Innovation Fund, Bain Capital Ventures and Cervin Ventures. Read more
