FlexClub: FlexClub is a managed marketplace that simplifies investing in car rental fleets for the gig economy and transforms the experience for renters using gig platforms to earn money. FlexClub has raised $1.2 million in seed funding led by CRE Venture Capital. Read more

FrontdeskAI: frontdesk.ai responds instantly via text to calls that you couldn't answer. frontdesk.ai has raised $2 million in seed funding led by pi Ventures. It has now raised $4.2 million altogether. Read more

Automata: Automata is a deep-tech company that creates products that empower people to automate physical work. Automata has raised $7.4 million in funding. Hummingbird Ventures led the round and was joined by first minute Capital, Hardware Club, LocalGlobe, ABB, and Entrepreneur First. Read more

Tibber: Tibber is an energy consumer service for house owners. Tibber has raised $12 million in Series A funding led by Founders Fund. Earlier backers also joined the round, including Wellstreet, BKK, Petter Stordalenand RFF Vest. Read more

Ease: Ease is a software company that was created with an emphasis on creating business solution tools. Our first product is a Freelance Management System. Ease has raised $19 million in Series B funding. Centana Growth Partners led the round; other participants include Propel Venture Partners, Compound Ventures, Freestyle Capital and Upside Partnership. Read more

Pitch: Pitch offers a next generation of content collaboration and presentation software. Pitch  has raised $19 million in Series A funding. Index Ventures and BlueYard co-led the round, with participation fromThe Slack Fund, Zoom CEO Eric Yuan, and numerous other individual investors. Read more

Marketing Evolution: Marketing Evolution is a full-service provider of marketing ROI management solutions, delivering real-time, 1-to-1 marketing optimizations. Marketing Evolution has raised $26.1 million in growth financing led by Energy Impact Partners, with participation from earlier investors Insight Venture Partners and Zetta Venture Partners. Abstract: Abstract is a design and workflow platform that helps designers work together. Abstract has raised $30 million in Series C funding led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from Scale Venture Partners, Amplify Partners, and Cowboy Ventures. Read more

GO1: GO1 develops cloud-based software to train staff and customers. GO1 has raised $30 million in Series B funding led by M12, the venture arm of Microsoft. Earlier backers SEEK(an online recruitment company from Australia), and Y Combinator also joined the round. Read more

Insta360: Insta360 is a professional intelligent technology company that offers cameras that empowers people to freely share experiences. Insta360  has raised $30 million in a Series C+ funding round from Chinese investors, including Everest Venture Capital, MG Holdings and Huajin Capital. TechCrunch reports that the company is profitable and planning an IPO for next year. Read more

Peakon: Peakon is a platform for measuring and improving employee engagement. Peakon has added $35 million to a previously closed Series B round led by Atomico, with backing from earlier investors, including EQT Ventures, IDInvest Partners, Balderton Capital, and Sunstone. Read more

Theranica: Theranica is an Israeli biomedical technology company focused on developing electronic and wireless communication technology. Theranica has raised $35 million in Series B funding led by aMoon. Other participants in the round include Lightspeed Venture Partners, LionBird, Corundum Open Innovation, and Takoa. Read more

Instarem: InstaReM is a fintech startup that provides digital international money transfer services to individuals and businesses. InstaReM has raised $41 million in Series C financing funding from Vertex Ventures, South Korea’s Atinum Investment, and the crypto company Ripple. Read more

Mojo Vision: Mojo Vision is a fledgling augmented reality company that develops products and platforms. Mojo Vision has raised $58 million in Series B funding from Google’s Gradient Ventures, Advantech Capital, HP Tech Ventures, Motorola Solutions Venture Capital, Bold Capital Partners, LG Electronics, Kakao Ventures, and Stanford StartX. Karuna Therapeutics: Karuna Therapeutics is a Massachusetts-based developer of drugs for the treatment of schizophrenia. Karuna Therapeutics has raised $68 million in Series B funding. ARCH Venture Partners led the round and was joined by Fidelity Management & Research Co, Eventide Asset Management, Pivotal bioVenture Partners, Partner Fund Management, Wellcome Trust, Sands Capital, Alexandria Venture Investments, and PureTech Health. Glossier: Glossier is a direct-to-consumer beauty company that leverages content and community to power a superior shopping experience. Glossier is closing a $100 million Series D round led by Sequoia Capital, according to the WSJ. New investors in the funding also include Tiger Global Management and Spark Capital. Read more
