Looxid LabsLooxid Labs is a tech start-up to seamlessly integrate an emotion recognition system with VR using an eye and brain interface. Looxid Labs has raised $4 million series A funding round led by Hastings Asset Management, Daesung Private Equity, Sejong Venture Partners, and Samsung Venture investment. This investment will accelerate the launch of VR user analytics solutions using emotion AI currently developed by Looxid Labs. Read more

Eximis Surgical: Eximis Surgical is developing an enabling technology that allows surgeons to quickly and easily remove large specimens through small incisions while creating clean cut segments more adequate for pathology. Eximis Surgical has raised $7.5 million in funding. Questa Capital led the round and was joined by Venture Investors. Spin MemorySpin Transfer Technologies develops its orthogonal magnetoresistive random access memory technology, OST-MRAM. Spin Memory has raised $52 million in Series B funding led by Applied Ventures, with participation from earlier backers Allied Minds, Woodford Investment Management and Invesco Asset Management.
