Pair Eyewear raised $1M; Hummingbird raised $3M; Minds raised $6M; Cowboy raised €10M

Pair Eyewear: Pair Eyewear makes wearing prescription and nonprescription glasses and sunglasses exciting, empowering and playful for children. Pair believes glasses for children can be more than a static medical device. Pair Eyewear has raised $1 million in seed funding from Corigin Ventures, Outbound Ventures, Precursor Ventures, and Bolt Ventures. Hummingbird: Hummingbird is a platform for managing anti-money laundering (AML) operations. Compliance professionals use Hummingbird to collect case information, conduct investigations, and report on unusual or suspicious behaviors. Hummingbird has raised $3 million in funding led by Homebrew, with participation fromOmidyar Network, TTV Capital, and Designer Fund. Minds: Minds is an open-source, community-owned social networking platform. It is a free and open source social networking platform that rewards users for their activity online with revenue, digital currency and more views of their content. Mindshas raised $6 million in Series A funding from Medici Ventures, Overstock.com’s venture arm. Read more 

CowboyCowboy is a new bicycle start-up that mixes design elegance, affordability and technology and connects owners to their bikes through an app. Cowboy has raised €10 million in Series A funding led by Tiger Global Management, with participation from previous backers Index Ventures and Hardware Club. Pulumi: Pulumi provides the cloud development model: helping Development and DevOps teams get their code to the cloud quickly and collaboratively. Pulumi has raised $15 million in Series A funding round led by Madrona Venture Group. Tola Capital also joined the round.  Read more

Pax Labs: PAX Labs is leading the reinvention of the smoking experience with their innovative, premium vaporizers, PAX and JUUL. Founded by two Stanford Design Program graduates, PAX Labs, Inc. was developed with the mission of making smoking obsolete. Read more

Qpex Biopharma: Qpex Biopharma, Inc. is a provider of biotechnology services. San Diego, Ca.-based company has raised $33 million in Series A financing led by New Enterprise Associates, with participation from Adams Street Partners, LYZZ Capital, Hatteras Venture Partners and Stanford University Draper Fund.
