Music fans, here’s a new way to access music and videos. For $17, you can have a pass to watch and listen to live performances by “The Fray.” It’s a new service launched by iTunes to give record labels another way to make money off their artists. Unless you’re hiding a rock, it’s pretty clear that the music industry is suffering from declining CD sales. And, even though there are ways to buy music legally, many people still are downloading songs illegally. Is this new service going to be a hit? I probably wouldn’t put it in the Billboard top 10 ways to monetize music.
