Today’s Entrepreneur is Eldar Razroev, Co-founder at Aeroxo. Aeroxo is a new generation long range aerial robotics and data gathering platform. The use of tilt-rotor technology enables Aeroxo unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to combine the vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) capabilities of a helicopter with the speed and range of a conventional fixed-wing aircraft.
Razroev is a serial entrepreneur. He was previously a COO of Wikimart, CEO of Systema Mass-Media and Euroset. He has a great experience in aerospace industry. He is a developer of breakthrough tiltrotor concept, used by Aeroxo.

What’s most frustrating and rewarding about entrepreneurship/innovation?
You reject your new idea because other attempts seem to be more promising, and your rivals prove initial idea is the only right one some time later. But if you can prove you were right and come to better idea – it is the most rewarding probably.
What’s the No. 1 mistake entrepreneurs make?
Overestimation during initial planning. Startup development may be slower compared to initial plans even if your team and you perform “at 110%”.
What are the top three lessons you’ve learned as an entrepreneur?
1. Bet on your team, trust your team, but never miss chance to strengthen it
2. You need to know what your competitors do and where market goes. Any honest competition is useful.
3. If your initial plan does not perform well, it is not a reason to reject it immediately. It is the reason to re-evaluate your performance first.

Eldar is a serial entrepreneur. Previous positions include COO of Wikimart, one of Russia’s largest e-commerce platforms, CEO of Systema Mass-Media and Euroset, the country’s largest mobile and electronics retailer.
Based on his great experience in aerospace industry (including work on Tu-160 and Tu-204 at Tupolev Construction Office as chief engineer) Eldar has developed a breakthrough tilt-rotor concept that is currently used in Aeroxo’s UAV platform.
Graduated from Bauman Moscow State Technical University. Holds a PhD degree in economics.
