At Vator Splash Health 2015, held last month, Practice Fusion CEO Ryan Howard sat down with Bambi Francisco to talk about how his company is altering the healthcare landscape.

Practice Fusion provides a free, web-based EHR (electronic health record) for physicians and health providers. At this point, the 10-yr-old company has 112,000 active health practitioners and adding 800 to 900 a week. The service counts 100 million patient records, meaning about a third of the US population. It’s partnered with 70,000 pharmacies and 400 labs.

In this conversation, Howard talks about everything from why there are yet to be health scores (like credit scores) but how that will be a reality in the future and the risks and costs of sharing health data.

Thank you KPMG, Rackspace, Scrubbed, Stratpoint, California Healthcare Foundation and Bread & Butter for sponsoring!
