One of the rising star entrepreneurs in the East Bay is James Freeman, Founder and CEO of Blue Bottle Coffee, a specialty coffee roaster that’s raised some $50 million in venture capital. The bespectacled self-effacing Freeman, started Blue Bottle with one stand at an Oakland Farmer’s Market 10 years ago. He joined Tony Conrad, partner at True Ventures, on stage at Vator Splash Oakland to share his story.
