RapidSOS raised $85M; Mighty Buildings landed $40M; Monte Carlo secured $25M; Nanome picks up $3M
RapidSOS: RapidSOS is a New York-based company that has built a data platform for emergency response services. RapidSOS just raised $85 million in Series C funding led by Insight Partners, with other unnamed investors participating. Valuation is not being disclosed, but the company says it has now raised $200 million altogether. Read more
Swift Navigation: Swift Navigation is a San Francisco-based company that's creating an ecosystem of precise positioning tech for autonomous vehicles, automotive, mobile and mass-market applications. Swift Navigation has raised $50 million in Series C funding. NEA led the round, joined by earlier investor Eclipse Ventures and new investors EPIQ Capital Group and KDDI Open Innovation Fund. Mighty Buildings: Mighty Buildings is an Oakland, Ca.-based homebuilding startup that uses 3D printing, robotics and automation to produce what it says are more sustainable and affordable homes. Mighty Buildings has raised $40 million in Series B funding co-led by Khosla Ventures and Zeno Ventures. Read more
Monte Carlo: Monte Carlo is a San Francisco-based data reliability startup. Monte Carlo has raised $25 million in Series B funding co-led by GGV and Redpoint, with participation from Accel, which led the company's Series A in September. Read more
SplashLearn: SplashLearn is a San Francisco- and Gurgaon, India-based edtech company focused on learning through games. SplashLearn has raised $18 million in a Series C round led by Owl Ventures, which was joined by earlier backer Accel. Read more
Cleveland Diagnostics: Cleveland Diagnostics is a Cleveland, Oh.-based clinical-stage biotechnology company developing next-generation diagnostic tests for the early detection of cancers. Cleveland Diagnostics has raised $17.4 million in Series D funding led by LYFE Capital, with participation from earlier investors, including the Cleveland Clinic. Read more
Homa Games: Homa Games, is a mobile games publisher and developer. Homa Games has raised a $15 million in seed funding co-led by e.ventures and Idinvest Partners. Read more
Nextmv: Nextmv is a Philadelphia, Pa.-based platform that optimizes and tests decision models for logistics companies. Nextmv has raised $8 million in Series A funding led by earlier investor FirstMark Capital. Others in the round include 2048, Dynamo, Atypical, and numerous individual investors, including GitHub CTO Jason Warner, Seamless founder Jason Finger, and Stripe COO Claire Johnson. Read more
WizeHire: WizeHire is a Houston, Tex.-based online recruiting platform for small businesses. WizeHire closed a $7.5 million series A funding round that was led by Mercury Fund and Amplo, with additional support from earlier backers, including RigUp co-founder Sandeep Jain. Read more
Preciate: Preciate is a platform designed to help businesses and teams foster and grow authentic relationships through virtual business socials and peer recognition technology. Preciate announced the closing of a $4.6 million seed funding round led by Inspiration Ventures. Founders Capital Partners and the Santa Barbara Angel Alliance also joined the round, along with angel investors that included fifteen prominent CEOs. Read more
David Energy: David Energy is a Brooklyn, N.Y-based startup whose software combines energy management services for commercial buildings with the ability to sell energy directly to customers. David Energy has raised $4.1 million in venture funding. Equal Ventures led the round, joined by Operator Partners, Box Group, Greycroft, and angel investors, including Sandeep Jain and Xuan Yong of RigUp. Read more
Nanome: Nanome is a San Diego, Ca.-based company whose software brings researchers to the same virtual reality space to work on molecule development together. Nanome recently raised $3 million in funding led by Bullpen Capital. Read more
