No. 1 Mistake: Thinking they understand better than anyone else.
Entrepreneurs often choose the path of innovation, without realizing the kind of lifestyle that comes with it.
They will often live unstable lives.
But as they courageously take risks, they'll make several mistakes which become valuable lessons for the rest of us.
They have their ups and downs. But at the end of the day, these creative daredevils are the ones who are changing the world.
Within our community you will find a number of talented innovators.
This year, we created new profiles for our Vator members to share their story.
So if you are a first-time, serial, or even an aspiring entrepreneur, we'd like to hear from you.
Today's entrepreneur is Sri Kanajan, business co-founder of Roomplug. According to his VEQ (Vator's entrepreneur self-assessment test), Sri is a marketing manager and is good at team motivation and thought leadership.
Sri, and co-founder Rodney Nguyen, are off to the races with Roomplug, which has only been in the works for a few months. The company aims to connect prospective renters with one another and a future landlord.
Behind the scenes in many startups, the founders wear many hats at once. Sri is no exception, taking on many roles beyond marketing in the young startup, from cooking and planning healthy meals, to entertaining the team with game nights. For him, all the roles are tied to a noble goal: he says his motivation is, "to make giving the central focus of my life."
