Seed Stage

Timeshare marketplace Vacatia raised $5 million in seed funding from including Spencer Rascoff, Erik Blachford, Greg Waldorf, Thomas Byrne, Robert Spottswood, Raymond Gellein, Barry Sternlicht, Steve Hankin, Egon Durban, Douglas Dillard, Gene Frantz, Maveron, Bee Partners, Peterson Ventures and Meyer Ventures.

Swedish startup FishBrain, a social network for sport fishing enthusiasts, raised a seed round of $150,000 from Almi Invest, Mattias Miksche, Rikard Steiber, Henrik Torstensson and Mathias Ackermand.

Smart heating control company Tado raised $2.6 million from Target Partners and Shortcut Ventures. 

AdYapper, provider of analytics for display and mobile ad campaigns, raised $1.2 million in a round led by KGC Capital and angels including David Cohen, Laurel Touby, Paul Sethi, Sameer Jagetia, Ari Newman, Vip Sandhir and Dave Lerner.

Typeform, a startup that helps companies create surveys and forms, has secured a €550,000 seed round led by Point Nine Capital and RTAventures.

SourceAudio, which connects buyers and sellers of licensed music, raised $1.2 million in seed funding from Emerson Investment Group.

LittleCast, which allows video creators a platform to sell their works directly to consumers through their Facebook pages, raised a $2 million seed investment from a group of technology and entertainment investors.

Jumpstarter, a tool aiming to help developers focus on their code, raised a $1.7 million seed round of funding from Earlybird, Paua Ventures and Martin Sinner.

Crowdsourced security startup Bugcrowd closed a $1.6 million seed round from Icon Venture Partners, Paladin Capital Group, Square Peg Capital and select angel investors. 

Set.fm, a free app that helps working musicians generate additional revenue and stay better-connected with their fans, raised $1.2 million in seed funding from Golden Venture Partners of Toronto.

Graphicly, which provides authors and publishers with access to digital content conversion and distribution, raised $1.3 million from previous investors led by Mercury Fund and Dundee VC. 

Studio 9+, an accelerator from YouWeb founder Peter Relan, raised $2.5 million in funding from several angel investors including David WhortonDan WarmenhovenS. SomasegarRaj ShahPraful ShahAjit MayyaPankaj Agarwal, and Brett Wander.

Sooqini, a UK-based task marketplace, raised a $500,000 seed round led by Lars Toft Larsen and Paolo Rubatto.

Front Desk, a provider of mobile-focused software tools for personal services businesses and franchises, raised $3.2 million in seed financing. The round was led by Second Avenue Partners with participation from Venture One Ventures, Rich Barton, Lloyd Frink, and J.D. Delafield.

ZappRx, a mobile  prescription management platform, raised $1 million in seed funding led by Jean-Francois Formela and Ryan Moore, along with Life Sciences Angel Network, Hakan Satiroglu, and other notable angels.


Early Stage 

Boticca, a fashion accessories-only focused websiteraised $4 million in Series A financing from MMC Ventures and High Net Worth Individuals in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, including Sina Afra.

SendHub, a call and messaging solution, raised $3 million in Series A funding  round led by Bullpen Capital. Menlo Ventures, Kapor Capital, 500 startups, China Rock Capital, plus angels Alexis Ohanian, Garry Tan, Harj Taggar and Kenny Van Zant also participated. 

Big Data analytics company GraphDive, raised $2 million in a new funding round led by Start Capital and included angel investors Pejman Nozad, Ullas Naik, and Naguib Sawiris.

Face recognition software company KeyLemon raised $1.5 million in a Series A funding round co-led by Debiopharm Investment and Swisscom Ventures. 

CommonBond, a student lending platform, raised over $100 million in a round led by Tribeca Venture Partners. The Social + Capital Partnership, Vikram Pandit, Thomas Glocer, and Tom Kalaris also participated.

Retail-focused indoor location platform aisle411 raised a $6.3 million Series A round of financing led by Cultivation Capital .Don Dodge, Plug & Play Ventures, the St. Louis Arch Angels, the Billiken Angels, and the Springfield Angel Network also participated.

AppMesh, a  Mobile Sales Enablement and CRM solution, raised a $3 million investment led by InterWest Partners. Existing investors, TDF Ventures, as well as executive members of the Siebel Systems Founders’ Circle, including David Schmaier, Steve Mankoff and Peter Lim, also participated.

Zazma, a provider of short term financing for small businesses, raised $10 million financing of venture equity from Sequoia Capital and Spark Capital.


Late Stage

Enterprise social sales platform Hearsay Social raised a new $30 million Series C round of funding led by existing investors Sequoia Capital and NEA.

Hotel booking application HotelTonight secured $45 million in Series D financing led by Coatue Management. GGV Capital, Battery Ventures, Accel Partners, U.S. Venture Partners, and First Round Capital also contributed to this round.

Cloud-based subscription billing platform Zuora raised $50 million in Series E funding from Next World Capital, Vulcan Capital, Northgate Capital, Benchmark Capital, Greylock Partners, Index Ventures, Redpoint Ventures, Shasta Ventures, Tenaya Capital, Dave Duffield and Marc Benioff.

Whisper, a mobile app that allows people to anonymously share their secrets, raised $15 million in Series B funding in a round led by Sequoia Capital.

Check, a cross-platform mobile finance app, raised a $24 million Series C round led by Menlo Ventures. Morgenthaler Ventures and Pitango Venture Capital also participated. 

Language technology company SwiftKey raised a $17.5M (£11.3m) series B investment round. Index Ventures led the round alongside Octopus Investments and a number of notable angel investors including Nick Hynes, Carl Uminski, Jon Craton, and the Cambridge Capital Group.

SalesFUSION, a marketing automation software provider, raised $800,000 in funding from Hallett Capital.

Social customer experience company Lithium raised $50 million in pre-IPO mezzanine financing from a syndicate of global institutional investors. New Enterprise Associates also participated. 

Loggly, a cloud-based log management service, raised $10.5 million from Trinity Ventures, True Ventures and Matrix Partners, along with Cisco and Data Collective Venture Capital.

Vestiaire Collective, a resale community dedicated to trend driven luxury fashion and accessories, raised $20 million in Series C funding. The lead investor was Condé Nast International. Balderton Capital, Ventech Capital, Idinvest Partners also participated.

Ad optimization startup BoostCTR raised an $8 million Series B round led by Battery Ventures. Javelin Venture Partners and Western Technology Investment also participated.

AlienVault, a provider of Unified Security Management solutions and crowd-sourced threat intelligence, raised a $26.5 million Series D funding round led by GGV Capital, with participation from Trident Capital, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Sigma West and Adara Venture Partners, Top Tier Capital and Correlation Ventures.

RiverMeadow, an automated server migration solution, raised a $12 million Series B financing round including Cisco, Violin Memory and others.

ComparaOnline, an insurance and financial services marketplace website in Latin America, raised $11 million in Series B financing.  Ribbit Capital led the investment, with participation from Endeavor Catalyst, Rise Capital and Kaszek Ventures. 

Quantia, a  mobile and web-based physician relationship management platform, raised $10 million in Series B funding from Safeguard Scientifics and existing investors, including Fuse Capital.
