Chaka Zulu is the business manager of Ludacris, an American rap artist who has sold 13 million records.  Chaka was on a panel at the OnHollywood conference with other hip hop artists discussing their digital strategy and how they're connecting with fans. Chaka says social network has created traffic and buzz. Social networks are the new "street  marketing team." In the old days, marketing music was about putting up posters and passing around flyers. This was the way to get the message out on the street, he said. Today,  that's all happening on social networks.

Chaka also talks about his new Web site for musicians called Wemix.com. (Watch for his video pitch soon).
