If you're a startup seeking opportunities to get funded, educated or connected, startup competitions are a great resource.

As part of our weekly series, we'll look at top competitions with big cash prizes, as well as competitions that have teed up the most promising startups, to finding popular startup competitions you need to know about. 

Here are some of the startup competitions that are focused on the blockchain space:

Description: "Exploring the future of FinTech, ICOs, blockchain, sharing economy, future of work & disruptive culture."

Prize:Selected ICOs are invited to present in Kyiv and will receive the following benefits for a $5,000 contribution:

Description: "We think that a contest will allow us to promote the revolutionary technology of blockchains and smart contracts in a much broader and faster way. Description: "Zug and Crypto Valley are world-famous for their crypto/blockchain scene.
And Switzerland is one of the world’s most important insurance markets.

These two factors were the genesis for the first Blockchain Competition to be held in Crypto Valley."

Past CoinAgenda contests have featured companies from more than two dozen nations and the winners have gone on to raise millions of dollars in follow-on funding, as well as 10 successful ICOs."

Prize: First place winners each receive $7,500 in combined sponsorship awards from CoinAgenda, and tickets to d10e, BECON, and ICO Summit.  Second and third place winners receive $4400 each for a combined total event awards purse of more than $30k.
