Starbucks is honoring civic participation by giving all voters a free tall 12 ounce cup of brewed coffee. Tell your barista you voted and receive one coffee at no charge (limit one per customer) at participating U.S. Starbucks stores. During the Starbucks Leadership Conference this week in New Orleans, the coffee company announced its commitments to focus on serving the community.

Also from 5PM-8PM today, Ben & Jerry's ice cream Scoop Shops across the nation will be giving away free scoops, one per customer as well.

After you vote, participating Krispy Kreme stores will be offering one free star-shaped doughnut with red, white, and blue sprinkles to each voter/customer wearing an "I Voted" sticker.

Some Chick-Fil-A stores are reportedly offering a free chicken sandwich, according to CNet.

Thank you all for taking the time to stand up for your country and enjoy the treats.

For this election it seems as though Starbucks has hit the mark perfectly, amazing coffee, amazing people for doing this is all I can say.

However Newsweek wasn't so sure:
