Sponzu is redefining social fundraising by allowing people to support projects and ideas by engaging in simple tasks like watching video advertising, answering surveys, and now with TinyPass, by donating small amounts of money to projects of their choosing. Through the collective participation ideas attract their funding and sponsors add significant value on their sponsorship: creating goodwill and generating brand exposure, product awareness, brand associations, and positive PR.
Sponzu's mission is to encourage all ideas, no matter how small or unrealistic they might seem. We want to help people realize that difference can be made without significant capital investment. By sharing a small fraction of their time, or a tiny financial donation anyone can make a dream come true!
Our model relies on self-promotion, where idea owners are encouraged to spread their ideas with friends and across social networks to attract supporters. Idea supporters are in turn encouraged to solicit their networks to fund the idea.
Unlike traditional crowdfunding platforms, Sponzu.com asks for people's time, not money. Supporters of ideas simply have to donate time to watch a short video ad provided by one of our sponsors, in order to donate funding towards an idea. Supporters of ideas have the opportunity to contribute further funding by rating the video, providing feedback on it, completing marketing surveys, and sharing the idea, as well as sponsor's materials within their social networks.
