Marc Rochman
Founder, President and C.E.O.
Marc came up with the concept for a disruptive new auction platform in October of 2006. As a result of that vision, Marc initiated the development of the technology and started to assemble a talented team and an impressive board of advisors for the new company. In addition to a track record of building a string of successful businesses, Marc has over 15 years experience in the plastic card industry, as CEO and founder of Card USA, Inc. A visionary in the field of card solutions and technology, Marc came to the United States after realizing the potential within the expanding prepaid phone card market in North America. In 2003, Inc. 500 ranked Card USA Inc. among the top 500 fastest growing companies. Marc earned a Masters in Physics and Electronics from the Université Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris VI).
Alessandro Annoscia
Chief Operating Officer
Alessandro joined Rackup in July 2009, bringing with him 23 years of experience in the software and telecommunications industry. Prior to Rackup, Alessandro served in many leadership, management, and technical positions at Accenture (7 years) and Microsoft (15 years), where he gathered a broad experience across international assignments, including leading regional sales and marketing teams, leading partner and distributors teams, P&L responsibilities, and full customer cycle relationship management.
Hillel Krajzman
Vice President, R&D
After building an innovative shopping portal platform for a European startup, Hillel became the second member of the Rackup team. He brings with him a rich technological expertise and a strong background in economics. Hundreds of hours of discussions with him have enabled Rackup to polish its core concept. Hillel developed the first prototype and outlined the "true real-time auction technology" that defines our user experience. Today he is responsible for Rackup's R&D and Intellectual Property. Hillel holds a Masters' Degree in Economics from the University of Louvain, Belgium.
Francois Buchs
Vice President, Technology
Francois brings with him over twelve years of experience in software engineering and management. Prior to becoming Rackup’s third team member, he directed the development of a web site multivariate optimization service for another successful startup based in Florida. Francois’s main interests are enterprise software development, software development best practices, Web 2.0, and creating productive working environments. He is originally from Switzerland. Francois holds a M.S. in Computer Science from University of Fribourg, and an elementary school teaching degree from Ecole Normale Cantonale, Fribourg.
Robert Valli
Vice President, Strategy
Rob joined the company in April of 2008 to help apply Rackup's core concept to the online world. Rob brings with him over a decade of search engine optimization and social media marketing expertise, and is regarded for his deep understanding of traffic and the web. Rob graduated with honors in 1993 from Boston University with a B.A. in Environmental Studies, with a focus in analysis and policy.
