Monstrous develops social music games for the iPhone, Wii, and other major gaming platforms. Music and social games generate an estimated $5 billion in combined annual revenues, representing one of the fastest growing segments of the overall gaming market. Monstrous has created patent-pending technology to integrate songs from any genre of music with interactive gaming environments. The company has just launched its first title to iPhone, with updates coming that add the ability to sell different song sets through an in-game retail environment. Monstrous is raising a Series A on top of the $400K in angel funding for the purpose of marketing the initial title, expanding the music catalog, and releasing additional titles.
Monstrous releases will be available via digital distribution via platform App Stores on iTunes, WiiWare, Xbox Live Arcade, Playstation Network, and Steam. Future revenue growth will come from music sales, subscriptions generated from our online world service, and from partnering with traditional publishers for retail distribution.
