Alkol Inc. is the manufacturer of the "1-Hour Flex™" conversion system for cars. This system employs BRAZILIAN technology and experience to allow any fuel-injected car to run on any amount of alcohol or gasoline in less than 1 hour, thereby saving money and protecting the environment.
Al Costa - CEO
Al Costa founded Alkol when he found that the market for flexing solutions in the US was being very poorly worked. Prior to that, he founded in 1997 in Brazil an e-commerce consulting company he eventually sold to a NASDAQ-listed company and became its Country Manager in Brazil. He also founded what became Brazil’s 2nd largest music portal with over 52 thousand registered tracks. For that he did road-show in Palo Alto with companies like Kleiner Perkins, Advent, etc. Al Costa holds a BA in Biology from Saint Leo University (Honors Student) and a Master in Computer Engineering from University of South Florida. He is brazilian and spanish, lived in several countries (his father was an spanish diplomat) and speaks fluently english, portuguese, spanish, and also good french and mandarin.
- Complete system to convert vehicles to E85 ethanol
- Fully automated not requiring any user intervention
- Sold more than 2000 units in Brazil, a global leader in alcohol technology
- Installed in 1 hour or less
- System has 3 components: injection delay, ignition delay, and cold fuel start system: the others have only 1
- Less expensive than current systems offered in the U.S. due to lower production costs
1 – 30 YEARS EXPERIENCE. The others have at best 3 years.
2 – TRANSPARENT to the end customer. The others require the user to install it himself and for that he needs to inform the fuel injector connector type, for example
3 – COMPLETE SOLUTION that will work with any car in any weather. The others depend on the installation of extra gasoline tanks for cold starts and are subject to sudden acceleration failures due to unhandled improper compression rates
4 – TOTALLY AUTOMATED. The others require the driver to choose a setting that either only works at idle or a high speeds (never both)
5 – EXCELLENT PRICE MARGINS. Because it is made in Brazil, where salaries are low, it’s much cheaper than the US solutions
