welovelocal is the smart new way to find businesses and services you'll love by reading reviews and ratings from people you can trust.

We believe everyone's a local expert. We all have a favourite local restaurant, know a friendly shopkeeper, or have used an ultra reliable tradesperson at one time or another. At welovelocal we want to put that local knowledge online.

Of course we don't all have the same tastes, budgets and levels of expectation, so the hairdresser Marge (aged 65 who likes ballroom dancing and spending time with her grandchildren) uses is probably not so suitable for Chloe, aged 23 who loves the Arcade Fire and spent last summer backpacking around Central America. As such, along with recommendations, you can find out more about the person who submitted a review by reading their profile. The aim is to find businesses and services recommended by people just like you.
By inviting people to your network of Local Insiders, along with your friends and family, welovelocal becomes a great place to share your local knowledge, support your favourite businesses and benefit from those you can trust.

We believe that the strongest form of marketing for any business is personal recommendation. Through the ratings and reviews you submit, the best (and worst) local businesses and services are easily identified. Businesses can also join the conversation by responding to reviews and adding up-to-date useful information about themselves to help Local Insiders find out more about what they have to offer.

Why welovelocal.com?
Quite simply, we love local! Most people often miss out on all the great shops and services in their area, because they never knew they existed. Worse still, sometimes some of the not-so-great businesses and services seem to be popular just because they can spend more on advertising. We wanted to re-address this balance and give local shops and services the opportunity to get more of an online presence and benefit from positive word mouth.
