AI Outtakes
- A Tennessee resident spent nearly six months in jail after Fargo, North Dakota police connected her to a bank fraud case. The police used facial recognition software, which identified the person in a surveillance video, despite her saying she had never been to North Dakota. According to the court documents, the Fargo detective working the case looked at her social media accounts and Tennessee driver’s license photo. The detective wrote in his charging document that she does appear to be the suspect based on facial features, body type and hairstyle and color
