Women’s health, of femtech, is a large space, encompassing everything from to period tracking and fertility monitoring to mental health to maternal health to menopause. And while it’s aimed at over 50% of the population, it has traditionally been underfunded.
Until recently. In 2024, femtech companies raised $1.19 billion across 111 deals, a slightly decrease from the 120 deals in 2023, but an increase from the $1.14 billion raised the year prior. Of course, neither could match the high of the pandemic, which was 177 deals across $1.31 billion in 2021.
The average deal size for women’s health companies also rose in 2024 to $10.71 million, up from the previous high of $10.36 million in 2023.
