Bambi Francisco Roizen

Bio: Entrepreneur, investor, wife, mother, author. Founder and CEO of Vator, a media and research firm for entrepreneurs and investors; Managing Director of Vator Health Fund; Co-Founder of Invent Health; Author of "Unequally Yoked, Finding balance and hope in our differences." Former award-winning tech/financial columnist at Dow Jones MarketWatch, providing analysis on tech startups on Fox Business News, CNBC, CBS. Vator was a side project of mine that was a mere concept while I was a columnist/correspondent at Dow Jones MarketWatch. It was originally started to help me vet the many startups pitching me while I was a journalist. It was designed to ensure that those I couldn't cover would have a platform for others to find them. I left in April 2007 and launched Vatortv in June 2007. At Dow Jones, I covered Internet trends and investments across the public and private sectors. I was a morning business anchor for KPIX (the local CBS affiliate in San Francisco), and reported on MarketWatch's business magazine show on CBS. I made frequent appearances as an expert on technology on CNBC, Fox Business News, and CBS. I was named one of the top 10 most influential journalists on the Web, by Adweek. In the 'mid-90s, I worked as producer at CNN's financial news network, where I created, launched and produced business shows, including one on IPOs and new ideas.  I am married to Ezra Roizen. We have four boys.

This same analysis traditionally would take a CFO/CPA/CFA or venture fund analyst a week to complete. Using Liquid Scenarios the child was able to perform the same analysis in a matter of minutes Microsoft subsequently published a case study showing how an investment banker used a desktop version of Liquid Scenarios to achieve a 23,000% (230X) increase in productivity In the fall of 2007, Liquid Scenarios Server 2008 became the first financial business intelligence solution in the world certified on Microsoft's Windows Server 2008, ahead of BEA Systems and Hyperion (now Oracle) Developed strategic business plans for Alienware (acquired by Dell), ConstructionNet (acquired by McGraw Hill), developers of the first music DRM solution deployed by major record labels in the US, the founder of Chiron, a founder of Register.com, the first portable thin tissue scanning device to receive 510K clearance in the US, numerous subsidiaries acquired and disposed of by WellPoint (WLP), with many former clients appearing on the Inc. 500 list Turned $80K of business plan service proceeds into $72 million in market cap over the course of 10 months Used stock-only compensation to recruit an entire executive team, including the former CEO of a $6 billion revenue NYSE traded company and a former faculty member of the Defense Research Staff of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Provided assurance and advisory services at Arthur Andersen's Enterprise Group on clients, IPOs and projects including Vermeer Technologies (the creators of FrontPage, acquired by Microsoft) Genome Therapeutics IPO, Hybridon's IPO, Open Software Foundation, multiple venture capital funds, Boston Acoustics (Nasdaq, BOSA), Concord Communications, Inc. Twizz D. Ha

Bio: The iLuvMyPlanet! Story Twizz, a creative artist/entrepreneur in Silicon Valley wanted to use his expertise of building tech startups to do something that would make a positive difference in the world. So he turned his attention to saving the planet. The idea for "iLuvMyPlanet! - The First Purpose Driven Social Network" came to Twizz while he was working on his boat engine at Pier 39, San Francisco. He got frustrated because there was all kinds of oil and sludge that came out. He knew that this gunk would eventually pollute the ocean and our atmosphere. From that moment he realized that something had to be done to change the mindset of the world. So he did some soul searching, looked back to his childhood. He remembered playing on hillsides along small creeks, being outdoors, exploring beaches and parks. Twizz knew that he had a deep love and respect for nature, the ocean, different plants and animals. He started spending more time in the garden, growing vegetables, planting trees and connecting with nature on a deeper level. His eating habits also changed, along with a regular exercise regimen at the local gym, he even got some old bikes to fix up from local yard sales. Each Saturday morning was a trip to the local farmers market for fresh fruits and vegetables. From this great spiritual awakening the "Inspiration for iLuvMyPlanet!” came. “It was so simple and natural how it came to me.” says Twizz. Two events that he attended would inspire him to take action. One was the TED Silicon Valley event at Stanford called "Innovation for Social Change." There were all these great thinkers, talented artists and inspirational speakers at the event on stage talking about social change. The event truly inspired him to do something great for the planet. The other was the San Francisco Green Festival that he attended with his friends. "It was great to be able to see this huge movement that was happening. All the vendors, the great food and the music was amazing!" Since Jan 2010 after receiving some seed funding from a close friend, along with his own time and money, he was off to the races. After many months of dedication, perseverance and working on the project till late nights. All while juggling day to day work from his design studio, ten months later on 10.10.10, the site was launched to the public. He hopes that with each new member that join they can go thru the same spiritual awakening like he did and reconnect with nature, the planet and the global community. They can change their lifestyle, live a healthier and more spiritual life. "We must correct our past mistakes, re-discover our spiritual roots and re-invigorate the Great Thinkers of tomorrow. The industrial age has left Planet Earth sick, we need to make things better" says Twizz. The site is open to anyone on Planet Earth; Independant Filmmakers, Photographers, Artists, Musicians, Inventors, Explorers, Environmentalists, Animal Lovers, Nature Lovers, Writers, Eco-Friendly Businesses and Great Non Profits. "The company will actively promote green companies along with all the great non profits that are working hard to save the planet." Along with his biz partner Mel, a prolific producer in Hollywood, they plan to build a great company to serve an ever greater need: Saving The Planet.
