  • Claim Health, a company powering AI-native revenue operations for post-acute care, raised a $4.4 million seed round led by Maverick Ventures, with participation from Peak XV, Y Combinator, and DHVP. The round also includes participation from C-suite executives – including CEOs and COOs – at large post-acute care providers
  • Altavo, a medtech startup which specializes in AI-based voice rehabilitation, raised €3 million in a Series A2 funding round led by Novalis Biotech and Beteiligungsmanagement Thüringen, with participation from TGFS Technologiegründerfonds Sachsen, High-Tech Gründerfonds, TUDAG TU Dresden AG, Ostwerk GmbH, and individual private investors
  • Robin Health, a startup focused on prevention and digital health management, raised €2 million in pre-seed funding led by Step Fund

  • Sparkli, a company using real-time multimodal AI that gives children the agency to build their own interactive learning expeditions on any topic in minutes, raised a $5 million pre-seed round from undisclosed investors 
  • BRUM, a platform where students can prepare for the theory exam via a personalised interface, navigate administrative enrolment, and book driving lessons with certified instructors within its network, raised €5 million in a round led Italian Founders Fund

Fund News

  • Healthier Capital, a health-tech venture capital firm founded to deliver healthier outcomes, closed its $220 million oversubscribed inaugural fund

Policy and government

  • Congressional leaders reached a bipartisan, bicameral healthcare deal which would extend several public health programs, including major telehealth flexibilities, through the end of 2027. It also would fund, through the end of the fiscal year in 2030, a program run through the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services that reimburses facilities for offering hospital-level care in the home. The deal would boost funding for community health centers to $4.6 billion for fiscal year 2026. Another provision in the package would allow Medicare coverage for multi-cancer early detection screening tests
  • The Department of Education postponed the pursuit of garnishing wages, seizing tax refunds and collecting other benefits from federal student loan borrowers in default. The department said in a statement that the delay in collections will allow defaulted borrowers more time to rehabilitate their loans and “enable the Department to implement major student loan repayment reforms” passed under last summer’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act
