Trish Costello

Trish Costello is Co-Founder and CEO of Portfolia, which creates communities of collaborative investors around entrepreneurial ventures.  Portfolia’s digital platform lets individuals and affinity groups discover and invest in private entrepreneurial companies in their areas of expertise and interest.  Companies access both money and markets as their investors engage their social networks and combined buying power for the company’s competitive advantage and their mutual long-term financial gain.

Costello is the co-founder and CEO Emeritus of the prestigious Kauffman Fellows Program at the Center for Venture Education, whose Fellows operate at over 300 venture firms in 42 countries and collectively deploy $188B in venture capital.  Costello served as the first President of CVE Capital Corp, a holding company affiliated with a $700 million Fund of Funds.

Costello was on the startup team of the Kauffman Foundation, where she directed its efforts to enhance and expand equity investment in start-up companies and to build entrepreneurial ecosystems to support the development of fast-growth ventures.    She created the Foundation’s Women’s Initiatives to develop high potential women entrepreneurs and to obtain greater equity investments in women’s businesses.

Costello has held advisory or board positions with Springboard Enterprises, National Venture Capital Association, the Helzberg Entrepreneurial Mentoring Program, the National Science Foundation, the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor and various start-ups, universities, incubators and non-profit organizations. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of OsteoGenex and OsteoFi.
