If you're an entrepreneur or corporate innovator, why?

I want to invent something cool.

What's most frustrating and rewarding about entrepreneurship/innovation?

It's frustrating to be told by investors with no direct market experience they they do not believe your product will work.

It is rewarding to prove them wrong.

What's the No. 1 mistake entrepreneurs/innovators make?

Thinking that the goal itself is entrepreneurship and not to build a successful company.

What are the top three lessons you've learned as an entrepreneur?

Choose staff slowly and based on sound judgement.
Seek advice from peers.
Never stop learning. You will do every task you can imagine.

Full bio

Hi, thanks for stopping by. In the latter part of 2013 I joined the team at Wallept to help drive forward the widespread adoption of digital loyalty cards. With a footprint in London, Copenhagen and Kiev we are best placed to capture the $48 billion dollar market.

In 2012 I left my job in military intelligence to found Mavin Management. We successfully helped FTSE 250 organisations to inform their decision making process but I harboured a strong desire to move into the technology startup arena.

In July 2013, in conjunction with two others, I won Lean Startup Machine London by successfully validating, marketing and beta testing the new web service GymBuddies, created by Klaus Bravenboer. As well as becoming an LSM mentor, the success inspired me to go on and co-found Venari Events, producing the newest and most exciting adventure races in the United Kingdom.

As the Co-Founder of Fuse&Forge Design, 2013 also saw the launch of Cocoon - the first sustainable, luxury eco-habitat of it's kind in the UK and a range of bespoke designer furniture.

My first book, the 100 Day System - Productive Creativity was successfully launched via crowd funding in July 2013 & is available at all major online retailers.

I enjoy helping to facilitate introductions and have secured a TED license to launch TEDxCorby in 2014. I am currently accepting applications for speakers.

If you need something or have an idea for a great product or service, don't hesitate to get in touch. The entrepreneur community thrives on collaboration, introductions and helpfulness. Be part of it.

In my spare time I snowboard, train MMA, study part time for a degree in Law, spend time with my daughters and sell photography on 500px.
