Rashidi Hendrix is an award winning music executive, television producer and talent manager. As a producer, Hendrix has worked on close to 200 hours of programming, including series Kitchen Nightmares (FOX),  Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood (Oxygen)MTV Awards (MTV)The Apprentice (NBC), Jimmy Kimmel Live! (ABC), Orange is the New Black (Netlfix) and The Mo'Nique Show (BET).  In addition, his management clients include music artist and Grammy nominated songwriter Kendra Foster, as well as TV talent that produce & direct series like Criminal Minds (CBS), NCIS:LA (CBS), Burn Notice (USA), Awake (NBC), LA Ink (TLC), Runaway Squad (A&E), Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (ABC) and Cash Cab (DISCOVERY). Formerly an executive at MTV, he began his career developing Celebrity Rap Superstar and America's Best Dance Crew for the network. In 2010, Hendrix shared an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Talk Series for The Mo'NIque ShowRecently,  Metallic & Hendrix are Executive Producing and show running a new series for CENTRIC/BET titled According to Him+Her

 

Prior to television, Hendrix was the Senior Vice President and Head of A&R for Reach Music Publishing where he shared a Grammy for Best R&B Song for Mary J Blige's "Be Without You", which spent 18 weeks at number-one set the record as the longest-running top-charting R&B hit in Billboard history; winning three Grammys and selling 7 million albums. The award also garnered SESAC Song of the Year honors as well as an SESAC Top Performance award.  As the head of creative, Hendrix was responsible for bringing in and  overseeing the catalogs of Lisa Loeb, Ice-T, Public Enemy, The Misfits, Danzig, JoJo and Zak Wylde (Ozzy Osborne).    In addition, he signed rapper Fat Joe, producers James Posyer (Mariah Carey), Charles Roane (Christina Aguliera), Jason Rome (Jamie Foxx, Pussycat Dolls, Mary J Blige) and many more to publishing deals. Before that he was an artist manager and did publishing A&R stints at Dreamworks Music Publishing and Windswept Music Publishing, where he oversaw the creative operations on the East Coast. In addition to a Grammy and numerous SESAC awards, Hendrix’s clients has been nominated for an Academy Award,  won an Emmy,  5 BMI awards and 6 ASCAP awards for his signings.  Hendrix started his career at Def Jam Records as an intern, then moving into tour marketing and management for Jay-Z and college promotions at the label. Hendrix is a frequent lecturer at NYU's Clive Davis School of Recorded Music and was a former Adjunct Professor at Five Towns College teaching Music Marketing and Advanced Music Publishing. Hendrix graduated from the Florida A&M- Florida State University College of Engineering, where he has bachelor degrees in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, as well as minors in Physics and Mathematics.
