Mike Krenn

A senior executive with extensive operational, marketing, finance and strategic management experience. I have a long history working with C-level executives, general counsel, venture capitalists and board directors. I am passionate about bolstering the growth of the start-up and venture capital ecosystem in Southern California. I was a founder of both the Tech Coast Angels and CommNexus (formerly the SD Telecom Council, now www.commnexus.org). While at DLA Piper, i founded the Venture Pipeline group (www.venturepipeline.com) - a free service that matches up entrepreneurs with capital sources nationally, though primarily VC funds based in Silicon Valley. I have served on boards for Connect, The MIT Forum, the San Diego Software Council, and numerous other organizations. During my career, I have been fortunate to work with hundreds of companies and entrepreneurs, helping more than 50 companies raise start-up capital, in excess of $100M. I also have experience (and empathy) with start-ups, having worked as a COO and VP of BD at a privately-funded technology company.
