I am a(n):

Entrepreneur

Companies I've founded or co-founded:
Beach Palms LLC
Achievements (products built, personal awards won):

I have flown a plane, invented a consumer product, written stories and scripts, raised 4 children, and am married to a great guy.

If you're an entrepreneur or corporate innovator, why?

I invented a product to meet my own needs, then realized others would want it too.

My favorite startups:

Square, Airbnb, Etsy, Groupon, GasBuddy

What's most frustrating and rewarding about entrepreneurship/innovation?

My frustrations involve the R&D process when the design needs a tweak. My rewards will come from seeing the product in homes and dorms, on beaches, at campsites, and in boats. And from hiring employees that believe in it.

What's the No. 1 mistake entrepreneurs/innovators make?

Thinking it will be easy.

What are the top three lessons you've learned as an entrepreneur?

1. Find more money.
2. Ditto.
3. Repeat 1&2.
