Starting and running a business can sound like an attractive venture until you go through some rough times that can make you regret starting the business. Often, some of these frustrations can threaten the mere existence of the business and lead to serious liabilities. Some of the down-sides of a business can include pro-longed working hours and uncertain income in times of losses.
As a young entrepreneur I loved talking about myself, my gifts, my talents, my ideas and everything about me because I think it helps boost my ego, little did I know how foolish I was. Wise people don’t talk much but there is always sense in the little they say.
I delivered over 80 invited presentations around the world primarily on precision dairy technologies, compost bedded pack barns, and mastitis management. He is an active member of the American Dairy Science Association and the National Mastitis Council.
Dr. Jeffrey Bewley is from Rineyville, Kentucky where he grew up working on his grandfather's (Hilary Skees) dairy farm. He received a B.S. in Animal Sciences (dairy option) from the University of Kentucky in 1998. In 2000, he completed his M.S. in Dairy Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison under the direction of Dr. Roger Palmer with a focus on dairy modernization. His PhD work under Dr. Mike Schutz at Purdue University focused on the application and economics of Precision Dairy Farming technologies. For 9.5 years, Jeffrey was on the faculty as an Extension Dairy Specialist at the University of Kentucky. He is currently working for Alltech as a Dairy Housing and Analytics Specialist.
