If you're an entrepreneur or corporate innovator, why?

Born to being self employed, never had a "JOB" love building business and people. It isn't the idea its the people who rub against it that makes it succesful!

My favorite startups:

Goggle, Facebook, Microsoft, Fortescue Metals, just love the way these guys pursued their dreams intuitively.

What's most frustrating and rewarding about entrepreneurship/innovation?

In Australia, lack of investor support...most of our funding came from Asia. For me US investors to date cant seem to see the wood for the trees. Too many "spruikers" spinng stories in the press for strategic advantage. Our closest competitors raised $35M and still cant execute. We raised around $3M and deals within our grasp. To investors there seems to be so much confusion on opportunities. As the Japanese say "take the time to "tap the bridge to see if it is made from paper or stone".....

What's the No. 1 mistake entrepreneurs/innovators make?

Lack of focus.

What are the top three lessons you've learned as an entrepreneur?

Be happy, stay focussed and be passionate about what you do.

Stone Movie Limited is an unlisted public company initially formed to develop, produce, manage and distribute a new version of the original 1974 Film "STONE" (Summary below). The company by virtue of its skilled Directors and Management have continued to expand its product portfolio and recently secured the rights to distribute the original STONE.

The new STONE, pays homage to its original, but does not mimic. It is not a remake, but a new film with a contemporary feel that includes the back story and elements of its original characters, the Undertaker, Vanessa, Max and Toad, reprising their roles to reveal the truth and the family secret, providing a thought provoking allegory that poses the question, is history repeating itself?

The original film has since gone on to become an iconic cult classic with its most ardent devotee, Quentin Tarantino, who is on record as saying:

“Stone, has the most quintessential and realistic ending of any biker film in the history of film...he knew he had it coming, because he broke their code”.

“My all time favourite biker film”.

“Sandy Harbutt [Writer, Producer, Director and Actor] is a visionary”

STONE went on to influence the film that started Mel Gibson’s career, Mad Max and its follow up, Road Warrior and film maker George Miller has credited it as being as a forerunner to his cinematic creation.
